Giving Tuesday

It's late, but it's the end of the month so I'm wide awake helping my team and customers wrap up all those last minute orders! We got our first decent snowfall today, so I'm also checking weather reports and not-so-secretly hoping for a snow day! Who else loves being snowed in at home with the kids, provided there's plenty of hot cocoa on hand?!

I can hardly believe that tomorrow is December 1st. Where has the year gone? I truly do feel like every year goes faster and faster. Where was I? Ah, yes! Tomorrow is also Giving Tuesday! Giving Tuesday was born from a movement that said: HEY, we spoiled ourselves and our loved ones with stuff shopping all weekend long, now lets take a moment and give back a little! I'm pleased as punch that Jamberry is allowing you to do a bit more shopping and still give back! They'll be donating a portion of all sales to Toys for Tots, so each purchase will help make someone else's holiday a little brighter.

To make that feel-good shopping even more fun, we still have 12 Sister's Style Exclusive throwback wraps available, and there will be six "vintage" wraps making a comeback! All of these wraps will be eligible for Buy-3, Get-1-Free! We'll also have a special package of Design Dimensions and a preview color from the Spring TruShine Line: Beauty Sleep! It is a dreamy, glimmery purple! The package is just $30, a $5 savings! Wait, you want more? Okay! We've also got this sweet wrap: Bejeweled, which is FREE with orders $50 and over! Get your Buy-3, Get-1-Free set of wraps, and a mini-heater if you haven't yet invested, and you're set! These specials are all available only on Tuesday, December 1st!

I also want to give back tomorrow, so I will personally be donating 10% of my commission on orders placed on Giving Tuesday to the American Refugee Committee. They have such important work to do right now (and always). I have been so blessed by Jamberry, and definitely want to give back in some small way.

If you have any questions about Giving Tuesday, please don't hesitate to let me know! You can shop right on my site anytime December 1st until 11:59 PM Mountain Time to be a part of these special offers and donations! Enjoy and Thank You!

2016 Host of the Month Club!

Wow! The past months have positively flown by. With all of the excitement of Jamberry's international expansion, the continuing buzz over the new catalog and TruShine, and build-up to the holidays, I feel like I've only blinked my eyes and we're halfway through November! I'm brought back to the blog today as I actually look past the holidays to 2016! (Woah!)

I have so many amazing customers who are Jamberry Super-Fans like myself, and I wanted to be able to give you all a great option for enjoying your wraps throughout the year! For 2016, I'm offering a Host of the Month Club! Here's how this will work:
  • 12 People Sign Up for Host of The Month Club! (Woo Hoo!)
  • Every Month, Each HoM member purchases one wrap. A group order will be placed by Yours Truly, allowing the group to take advantage of our Buy-3, Get-1-Free Deal! The order will be placed in the monthly HoM Club Party.
  • Each HoM member will get a turn being that month's Host and receive the free wraps and host rewards, for a total of 5 Free wraps and $15 product credit! If she wishes, that month's host can also host a party with her friends and family to earn more rewards!
  • I will cover shipping for each individual wrap, members will just pay for their wrap and sales tax. Easy Peasy!
  • I'll send out an e-mail monthly to make sure I have your choice for the upcoming month. If I don't hear from you, I'll order that month's Sisters Style Exclusive for you!
I am offering the option to purchase 2 spots as well, so that you can get 2 wraps each month and have 2 months to get rewards if you wish! Once the 12 spots are full, I will start a waiting list, and if we have another 12 people interested, I'll start a second club!

Jamberry's New Satin Finish plus Thoughts on an Amazing Week!

Wow, what a week! It's hard to explain how wonderful this week has been as we've welcomed our first Team Members from Australia and New Zealand. It's been exceptionally busy as I've sent out welcome packets, worked to answer questions and develop new materials and training programs--but every moment has been so rewarding! I feel like The Universe conspired to bring these wonderful women to our team. It's been like instantly gaining friends as well as team members, as it so often is! Since these friends are on the other side of the world though, there's been a touch of magic about it. What first comes to mind is to say that the world feels smaller--a la Disney's "It's a Small World After All"--but that's not quite right. It's more like I can fully appreciate just how big the world is, but I feel infinitely more connected to it. That may seem a bit grand for "just" adding some international team members to the mix, but it's the truth. I love that when I wake up in the morning my team members in the Southern hemisphere are heading for bed, and I get to talk to them again when they're up and at 'em in our afternoon. It's like we're spreading the Jamberry love in shifts! Even my Facebook feels different when I log in now--a bit more connected to the wider world. I think sharing this opportunity with so many new people is also just really opening my eyes even more to the incredible possibilities that Jamberry allows me to share! If you're still considering joining, please feel free to visit our no-pressure Facebook group or my website for more information! We're starting our first round of trainings on our unique team parties next week--another something to look forward to!

Amidst all of this excitement of course my nails have looked fabulous! I did a new Jamicure while I was up waiting for preparing for prelaunch, featuring two wraps with our new Satin finish! This week's Jamicure is "Broken Arrow" and "Satin Rose Gold Chevron", both absolutely beautiful wraps. "Broken Arrow" is a not-quite-black, ultra dark gray, with a chevron pattern that comes through in a varied pattern throughout the wraps. The chevrons have a gradually changing range of colors, from pinks, to greens, to yellows and into soft aquas, so each nail has a bit of a unique look. "Satin Rose Gold Chevron" offers a bolder look, with the contrast of the soft satin rose gold and black chevrons making a statement nail!

I  originally got to experience this finish in a Stylebox earlier this year, and I absolutely loved it. The Satin finish is somewhere in-between our matte and metallic finishes, and the result is absolutely stunning. It gives that soft smooth finish of a matte, but with a gorgeous metallic sheen. It almost reminds me of a brushed stainless steel! The satin wraps are thinner than our standard glossy wraps, which means you're going to need less heat when applying them. I generally recommend a complete cold application or my hybrid cold/official application method. That way you can make sure the wrap is exactly where you want it, before applying some brief heat, and then smoothing as you would normally, from the bottom of your nail towards the top, and then up the sides. When you file the excess, you'll find that it removes quickly and easily, so be sure to use gentle pressure with your file. You are going to love the wear on these satin wraps. I've been working on a mixed media piece this week, so this Jamicure has survived not just layers of paint being scrubbed off, but also sticky gel medium being "applied" to them and then scraped and peeled off! I'm always amazed at how my jams survive my messy "arting"! We have a fabulous range of wraps in the Satin finish, so be sure to check one of them out if it sounds like something you'd like to try!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! It's starting to feel more like Fall here and I'm looking forward to a weekend of autumn activities--complete with lots of great nail picture opportunities, of course! Cheers!

Pre-Launch Begins!

It's official! We now have our first round of Jamberry Consultants in Australia and New Zealand! I stayed up all night--far too excited to sleep, and wanting to make sure that anyone need help had questions answered! Sure, it was a sleepless night, but I had so much fun getting to chat with new friends, the night flew by! It was fun to have new team members joining the very first round of consultants down under! It was a great experience to be able to share. Since I was up, in-between chats and answering questions I made my family a big breakfast that was hot and ready when they got up (a big change from the usual oatmeal!). I got the welcome packets I put together for them straight to the post office, and am looking forward to working with them for the next couple of weeks to ensure that they'll truly be able to LAUNCH on October 1st! From there, I can't wait to see where they go as we continue to work together! It's just been a great, inspirational day!

Jamberry JUST released this video, and I couldn't be more pleased, because it truly embodies what I love about Jamberry, why I'm so proud to be a part of it, and so thrilled to be able to share it with others.

Jamberry Australia and New Zealand Pre-Launch!

Hi all!

I just finished attending the latest Jamberry Australia and New Zealand webinar, and I have butterflies in my stomach! (In case you missed it, the playback is available HERE.) Are you SO excited now that you've seen the kit and have so many more details? I know there are many more details yet to be sorted, but with so many logistics and rules and regs, it will take some time. It will all come together so quickly once things hit the ground on September 15th, and then again on October 1st. When you sign up, you will be able to see the agreement, choose your 3 wraps that come with the kit, and get more details immediately upon signing in to your brand new, shiny workstation. I'm so excited that you'll have access to Jamberry U, which is an absolutely invaluable resource! I think you'll be thrilled by all of the information and training available!

There have been a lot of questions regarding the pre-launch and finding a sponsor. First, what were the pre-launch requirements? US and Canada Consultants had to reach a status of "Senior Consultant" by June 30th, and then either maintain it or promote above it in July and August in order to earn the privilege of sponsoring Australian and New Zealand consultants early. I do not speak for Jamberry, but I feel confident that this was in no way intended to "punish" or disadvantage any new consultants. Instead, it was meant to ensure that the first round of Australia and New Zealand consultants had the support structure they needed to succeed. Senior Consultant rank simply means that you had at least $300 in personal sales, plus two different active downlines. And you had to have that for at least two months--So Jamberry was, in my view, making sure that consultants that take part in the pre-launch are keeping their business active, and supporting a team, and have shown that they can do that over multiple months. Of course this does not mean that there aren't great sponsors out there who weren't able to earn the incentive for whatever reason, it was just a guideline I believe was set by Jamberry in order to ensure a first round of quality sponsors. Yes, consultants who pre-launch will be able to get their kit a bit earlier and have a couple of extra weeks access to Jamberry U and the Workstation resources. It is certainly an advantage, but not an insurmountable difference. If you are with a sponsor that you feel totally comfortable with and supported by, you shouldn't have any worries whatsoever! Your dedication to your business and the support of your sponsor are what are going to help you to succeed!

I truly hope that no one feels put out by the excitement coming from the US and Canada. We know that there are a lot of people who still need to find sponsors, and we want to make sure they find them and start getting the resources available to them through us. Your sponsor is your mentor and your partner in business, and we understand the importance of having a great one! We are all just so excited to spread our teams overseas and help you be a part of the incredible opportunity that Jamberry gives us, and help people in Oz and Aotearoa have healthier nails that let their personalities shine! Jamberry is going to take off in these two markets, and you are going to have success when you commit to your Jamberry journey no matter when you join.

So as mentioned in the webinar, there are two ways you can sign up: You can go directly to your sponsors website, or you can go to your country's home site, that you went to initially to express interest, and search for your sponsor there as you go into the registration process. You will be able to search by name, e-mail address, or zip code if you go that route. If you are have done me the honor of choosing to sign on to my team, here are the direct addresses you can go to on September 15th:

Australia: dancinglotus.jamberrynails.com.au
New Zealand: dancinglotus.jamberrynails.co.nz

If for any reason you're more comfortable going to the main site and searching for me, all of that information is available on my Facebook interest group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/dancinglotusaunz/. (Not on Facebook? Just contact me through the form at right!)

Sign up will be available beginning at 2 AM AEST and 4 AM NZ time. Oh my. Maybe just wait until you wake up that day??? Ha! Seriously though, keep in mind that you can sign up with me (or whomever you choose) anytime after that--through October 1st, AND beyond! Once you sign up you will get that awesome kit, get access to the Workstation and Jamberry U, and be able to sign other consultants under you and begin building your time. So, so exciting.

If you're still on the fence, make sure to browse through my other posts that share more about my team. Please feel free to join my no-pressure Facebook group, comment here, or contact me directly. I'm truly happy to help in any way I can. Jamberry has done so much for me, and I'm thrilled to be able to share the opportunity. Whatever you do, don't let these initial logistics stress you out or take away from the joy and excitement of Jamberry's launch in Australia and New Zealand! I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful ride it's going to be! Cheers!

WHY Australia and New Zealand?

You all  know there is a lot of excitement all around about Australia and New Zealand launching Jamberry for everyone. I personally am especially excited because both places have a very special place in my heart! I thought I'd share a bit about why I am so personally jazzed about it!

My little sisters are twins, and I love them both dearly. One of the two studies geophysics, and her doctoral studies took her to Wellington, New Zealand, and there she stayed! She loves her studies, loves the country, loves the people. A few years ago my husband and I had the chance to visit her, and to spend time in Australia along the way! It was an absolutely life-changing experience.

My husband with our new friend, Tom.
A baby wallaby at the ecolodge.
We try to immerse ourselves in the true place when we have the chance to travel. In Australia, we traveled the Great Ocean Road, but stayed in smaller towns to get to know the people and wilder places. We met the most amazing people, and everywhere we went felt so welcomed. We walked on a beach with a gentleman who had lived in the small town there his whole life, and walked his dog on the beach daily, swam in the ocean 9 months of the year, and caught his nightly dinner in the local estuary. We stayed at an ecolodge where the family that lives there does habitat and wildlife conservation and rehabilitation, got to explore their amazing conservation lands, and even got to help a bit with the animals that were being rehabilitated. We got tips on the tucked-away places to see the  Australia and its wildlife. We absolutely fell in love--it was so hard to leave.
Our hearts were healed by the beauty of New Zealand, and the incredible sense of community everywhere we went. We were so lucky to have my sister as our guide. I adored the brew pubs and learned how to order incredible coffee (I am such a foodie). I loved the art absolutely everywhere. We learned the ins and outs of Wellington, and then had the chance to explore the South Island. We went on many treks that allowed us to really experience some of the amazing variety of the land, flora and fauna. New Zealand is such a unique place--has such a strong personality everywhere you go. (PS, it's my sister's birthday right now New Zealand time--I love you!)

It was weeks after we got home that I finally felt like I had processed everything we'd seen and experienced! I still dream of retiring in the little art community we stayed at in Australia, while my husband plans an organic farm commune in New Zealand!

I loved the people of both places so much, that I'm genuinely thrilled that the Jamberry love is spreading to them! To me, it's always about getting to let your personality shine on your nails in a healthier way. I'm glad Australia and New Zealand have that chance, AND that women and especially mums like me have the chance to build amazing businesses around this incredible company! I can't wait to share the opportunity and the amazing product with all of you! It's hard to believe early sign up is just ONE WEEK away! September fifteenth is so very close! If you're curious about joining our team, please feel free to check out our no-pressure interest group, where you can ask me any questions you may have! (You're also welcome to post your questions in the comments below!)  I wish you all the best on this journey!

Pink Zen Doodle Design and Australia ~ New Zealand Update

There is always this weird gap in-between the old catalog and the new catalog, where you have some designs that are still current to wear, BUT you're so excited about the newest designs and can't wait to wear them that wearing past designs seems too tame! I found a balance this week as I wait for multiple new orders (eep!) by wearing my Pink Zen Doodle design from the Nail Art Studio, with a Spearhead accent! I like the way the curving lines of my art contrast with the bold lined pattern in Spearhead. It's almost enough to take my checking of my Jamberry shipping tracking down to three times a day! Any guesses as to what's on it's way in the packages? You could probably take quite a few guesses and have a good chance of getting them right! Ha!

I created this particular Zen Doodle near Valentine's Day last year. Zen Doodle was something that I'd discovered recently and had fallen in love with. I was a total doodler in high school. The margins of my notebooks were filled with shapes, patterns, faces--doodles of all kinds! I don't remember ever getting in trouble for doodling in class, which is good, because looking back I realized that it actually helped me concentrate! I am a kinesthetic learner--I  learn best by doing and moving. So I think that doodling helps me to listen and absorb because that movement quiets my mind! This grown up version is quite meditative for me.

When I realized that I could create Nail Art Studio designs with my art, I was thrilled! It's very fun to be able to wear these light-hearted, yet mindful designs on my fingertips, and as I've said before, it's a huge honor to have other people choose to wear my art as well! For more information on my Nail Art Studio designs, check out my previous blog post!

I also wanted to take a moment this morning to give an update on goings on with Jamberry's launch in Australia and New Zealand! I am thrilled to say that I was able to close summer with another incentive earning thanks to my fabulous customers and team! That means that I will be able to sponsor Australian and New Zealand consultants during the prelaunch, early enrollment period, which begins September 15th. I'm over the moon that we'll be able to help you all get off to the strongest start possible! (Did you hear that you'll even get that extra two weeks added on to your Fast Start period? Amazing!)  I've also created a Facebook Group for anyone who is interested in potentially joining the Dancing Lotus Jams team! It is absolutely no pressure, just there to give you a taste of who we are and what resources we have available! You can find the group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/dancinglotusaunz/. I understand that this whole process can be a little overwhelming! This is a new product to many, and you're starting your own business, which even if you've done before, can be a bit daunting! I also understand that you have many options for sponsors, which is why I'm taking a quiet approach and letting you learn more about me and our team. I look forward to learning more about you too (although if you just want to lurk in the group, that's okay too!). P.S.--If you're in the US or Canada and are thinking about joining, you're welcome to check out the group as well! It really applies to anyone considering spreading the Jamberry Love.

I'll sign out for now--look for my next post which will feature the things I'm most excited for from our new catalog! (So excited!!!) Have a beautiful day! Cheers!
